Chris Anderson, Austin Realtor®

More About Chris Anderson
Chris Anderson had his first experience with property renovation at a young age, when his Dad would bring him along to work on updating his rental properties (whether he wanted to go or not). It didn’t take long before he realized all of the handyman skills he had developed and how he was not afraid to take on risky or challenging problems. These skills have proved invaluable both as a Realtor and a house flipper.

A graduate of Southern Methodist University, Chris moved to Austin in 1998 to work in music sales and quickly became ingrained in Austin’s music and arts community. When he bought his first house in 1999, it became as much an ongoing renovation project as it was a home, and launched a second career in real estate investment. Since 2003, he has renovated 12 houses, becoming a licensed Realtor in 2004 to handle all of his own transactions. He has since helped dozens of other clients find the right home at the right price, using his first-hand experience to help guide buyers’ and sellers’ decisions on how to prep their homes for sale, and how to maximize equity in a new purchase with some well-planned updating. He demonstrated this ability as a buyers’ agent in a 2012 episode of HGTV’s My First Place.

Chris remains highly involved with music in Austin, working behind the scenes on festivals like SXSW, Austin City Limits and Fun Fun Fun Fest and handling day-to-day sales with independent stores like Waterloo Records and End Of An Ear. When he’s not working on music or real estate, he can usually be found swimming with his wife and 4yo daughter, relaxing at one of Austin’s great restaurants, or mountain biking, playing softball or basketball outside.

What People Are Saying…

Chris is amazing. Working with him was easy and pressure free; he really listened to what we wanted and found us homes that matched our wish lists exactly. Buying in Austin is formidable but Chris helped us through the negotiation process and advocated for us above and beyond our expectations. Chris always made time to show us properties (we must have looked at 50 or more) and was always quickly responsive when we needed something. He found the home that we eventually purchased and guided us through the entire bidding, inspection, and closing process. We could not be more happy with his service. We not only got our dream home (under budget!) but we also learned so much through Chris. Without Chris, I really think we would have given up in our search or ended up somewhere far inferior. Can’t recommend enough!Alexa Schoeman
Chris has helped my family purchase and sell property a few times over the years and we can’t recommend him highly enough. He was the perfect fit as a realtor when we decided to sell our home. From top to bottom (gathering market research, suggesting needed renovations, negotiating multiple offers, helping us choose the best offer, walking us through the escrow process, etc.) he was always there for us. Chris was easy to work with, extremely professional and was always available if we had a question. If you want to sell your house quickly and painlessly, he’s the guy for you! He’s everything you would want in a realtor – informed, efficient, friendly, and always willing to help in any way he can.Noelle Corcoran
We loved working with Chris. We were first time home buyers, and Chris patiently answered all of our questions and accommodated our schedules to endlessly show us houses. When we did find a home we wanted to buy, we had a couple of very tricky situations with the seller that dragged on for weeks. Chris deftly navigated all of them, and in the end, we got our house for a great price.Madeline Moya
We were lucky enough to find Chris Anderson when we started looking for a house in the hill country. He showed up before each showing with printouts of each property detailing anything a prospective buyer might want to know. We never felt pressured or rushed, and Chris was never too busy to talk with us or meet with us ( even though it was obvious he is a busy man) We found our dream home in the ninth home he showed us and we couldn’t be happier! If you’re looking for a true professional, Chris Anderson won’t disappoint.Roz O'Connor
I was lucky enough to be referred to Chris when purchasing my first home in 2011. Chris is extremely patient and we dragged him all over the place from Pflugerville/Round Rock to Del Valle! This home buying experience was more of a roller coaster ride than I could ever have imagined due to finance obstacles on my end, and without Chris I never would have made it through. He was the one steady from start to finish and I was only looking at homes under $100k, so the poor guy wasn’t even making much of a paycheck!

That is why I just recently went back to Chris when selling that house 6 years later and it was the smoothest, quickest process I could have imagined this time. We were under contract within 2 weeks and closed 3 weeks later!! If you are looking for an easy going Realtor, that will work hard for you, give you advice, but not be pushy and run you over with their know-it-all-ness, then Chris Anderson is your guy!Kevin Buckridge

Chris is friendly, fun, knowledgeable, and easy to work with. He had an excellent photographer come take our photos for the MLS listing of our home, which I think made all the difference in selling in a week at a great price (we sold for higher than we expected!). Chris is a laid-back person and real estate agent, and let us be real partners in the sale of our home. He had good advice at various points along the way in the selling process.Catherine Morris
Chris was our Realtor for the sale of our home and the purchase of our new home. He did a great job marketing the property we had for sale as well as being proactive in finding properties in the area we were interested in moving to. His laid back demeanor is just what you need when you are undergoing the stressful process of home buying/selling. He is easy to reach and easy to work with and was helpful in making some recommendations for services as well.Michele Freeman
Chris was very proactive in the sale of our old home and the purchase of our new one. He was able to handle the multiple offers and assist us in choosing the right buyer for our old home. Chris was always available by text, call, and email whenever we had a question or needed to discuss any details. He even helped us find a great (local) handy man to fix up a few items in our old home prior to its listing!Corey Corcoran

Chris helped me both find the house I always wanted in a neighborhood that is perfect for my boys and I, but later on he helped me find the owners of the lot behind my house and worked with them to help me purchase it as well.Mark Charlesworth
