A native Texan and longtime Austinite, Edward Flores brings over two decades of business leadership, community service, and hands-on real estate experience to his role as a Realtor® with Twelve Rivers Realty. Before transitioning full-time into real estate, Edward spent eight years successfully building and managing an investment property—gaining firsthand experience in growing equity, generating profit, and spotting high-potential opportunities.
Edward has been practicing real estate long before making it official—buying smart, managing strategically, and navigating the investment process from an owner’s perspective. Today, he uses that experience to guide buyers, sellers, and investors with expert insight rooted in real-life results.
In 2008, Edward became co-owner of Mud Puppies, one of Austin’s most beloved pet care brands. Over the next 18 years, he helped grow it into a multi-location success known for its exceptional service, loyal clientele, and community-driven mission. His entrepreneurial success earned him widespread recognition—not only for building a trusted brand, but for his deep and lasting impact on local nonprofits, advisory boards, and animal welfare initiatives.
From 2017 to 2022, Edward served on the Austin Animal Advisory Commission, helping shape key city policies around animal welfare. He also served on the boards of Divine Canines and Barkitecture Austin, and for over a decade has fostered more than 100 dogs through his work with Austin Dog Rescue. His longtime partnership with Divine Canines and his therapy dog, Kaxan—the beloved mascot of KXAN News—gained national attention when Kaxan was named one of the top three therapy dogs in the country by the American Humane Hero Dog Awards.
In 2023, Edward was honored with the Lee B. Walker Guardian Award by the Austin Humane Society, recognizing individuals who go above and beyond to improve the lives of animals in Central Texas. Whether producing pet-focused media, speaking at nonprofit events, or being named a finalist for Amplify Austin’s “Big Giver” Award, Edward has always centered his work around connection, compassion, and community.
